Between 2009-24, of the 2,000 women killed by men (collated by Femicde Census), 170 were killed by their sons. Given how many women die at the hands of people they know or are related to, women are more at risk from their sons than they are from being murdered by a stranger.
Its a grim statistic & difficult to see a really good policy response other than listening more clearly to mothers.
