Just finished up the Midgar arc in FFVII. Yes, I am using the boosts, and no, they're not reducing my enjoyment of my replay. I don't have time for all that grinding, though I'm still going to grind now that I'm on the world map. Those boosts will make it significantly less of a time sink than if I was just playing vanilla. And I can turn off random encounters when they just slow things down at certain points, too.
The crazy motorcycle chase wasn't as crazy as I remembered it, but it was just as difficult to actually ward off the attackers!
If I had been reading things correctly, the first FFVII Remake game only covers up to this point in the story. The game being split into at least a trilogy was one thing which dropped my interest in the Remake, and with later installments not even having PS4 versions, that was the final decider in not getting the Remake at all for me. :akko_shrug:
I'm curious as to what the Remake does with the story, as it seems to incorporate some of the other spinoffs like Crisis Core, but I won't even be thinking about getting the FFVII Remake series until I have a PS5, which is still not in my plans any time soon.
But I digress! The debut of the FFVII Theme on the world map means my adventure is finally beginning.
