I have this nice memory of doing an old extreme trial synced where someone joined via party finder and thought it would be unsynced.
But instead of leaving after realizing that it's synced after the first attempt, they just responded with "Okay" and helped us.
One should not have to reduce battle effects to be able to properly see the boss mechanics for 24 and sometimes 8 player duties.
Especially when it looks just terrible if you have to disable all effects on all players.

In 7.4 they are finally adding a 10 min re-entry timer in case of disconnects in deep dungeons. This is way overdue. I've complained about POTD disconnects ruining my POTD solo runs before. It's nice to see them being forced to do something about it, presumably because the DDoS attacks lately make it abundantly clear that ithis is an issue. It's not a perfect solution but it's better than nothing.
Sometimes I'm interested in playing Final Fantasy XIV again, but then I remember what they did to Black Mage and I lose all interest.
Perhaps I'll continue playing the game again if I also have the motivation to level up Samurai who is at level 80... yeah, that won't happen in the foreseeable future.
Otherwise, maybe the next Expansion will interest me a lot.
I'm just taking like ½hr in #FFXIV. More as a statement to myself than anything else. My illness-driven headache couldn't stand the bright lights of Tuliyollal so I TP'd to Mamook to do the reputation quests there (I'm not max rep yet).
At least it's always dark here.
I don't know how long this head sensitivity is going to last, but I'm so fed up of it. I can't progress any part of a game that's bright or snowy...not great with Winter events coming in both games.
Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.4 “Into the Mist” Launches December 17 With New Raid Tier, Dungeon
Woke up this morning to the news that Tom Morello is performing on a track that we apparently get during a new raid in #FFXIV . We only just got a snippet of it, but it sounds so freaking good, too!
I haven't played FFXIV in a really long time, but... ngl, I really want to know what the boss fight that this song is going to play during is going to be like.
Looking forward to upcoming Glamour changes, but these have been my favourite outfits so far for PCT/BLM and BRD/DNC.
I like that #finalfantasyxiv's ingame dialogs are full of profanity, which means users can enjoy cursing as much as they like <3
When the final trial in Endwalker got an item level sync, I hoped the final one in Shadowbringers would eventually get one as well because it too has the problem of skipping dialogue during the end.
But that still hasn't happened yet, sadly.
