Each game is unique, with 5 hero classes, each with 2 subclasses, 3 endgame abilities and over 25 talents, equipment that can be enchanted and upgraded, 5 dungeon regions, 26 floors, 100 room types and trillions of possible floor layouts, 60 enemy types, 30 traps, 5 bosses, 9 optional challenges and over 100 achievements. On the top right are the image layers (only one for now) and below that is the history (only one: “Open an image”), both simple and practical. On the left are the drawing tools, and at the bottom are the color palette, image characteristics, and zoom. At the top, in the title bar, are the edit menus and menus.

📚️ Pinta is a lightweight, libre & multi-platform bitmap image editor inspired by Paint.NET, allowing you to draw and manipulate images in a simple but powerful way. It offers the classic drawing tools (freehand drawing, lines, rectangles, ellipses, ...), adjustment and effect tools (35 tools), a complete history (allowing you to go back in time), layer support (to separate and group elements of your image) and a flexible workspace (fixed and/or floating windows).

I have opened my PR to add #Flatpak supports to the #Forgejo package registry: https://codeberg.org/forgejo/forgejo/pulls/10233.

It currently is missing automatic tests.

You can give it a try and share your feedback on Codeberg.

A not so fun detail about #Flatpak: If you build an Flatpak as an OCI image, the image won't contain any information about the runtime repo. That means that I have to provide an extra API for setting the runtime repo in my integration into #Forgejo.

I have opened https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak/pull/6409 to fix this issue.

📚️ PCSX2 is a libre, multi-platform and mature SONY PlayStation 2 game console emulator supporting a large part of the original PS2 library. In addition to fully emulating the original PS2 library, it offers support for custom resolutions and upscaling, state saving (to pause and resume a game at any time), virtual and shareable memory cards, a patching system, an internal recorder for lossless quality at full speed, and more. It requires the original BIOS (no HLE BIOS yet). A great tool.

An update to the #Flatpak packages in #Forgejo: I have now a working basic UI together with an flatpak+https link. I will probably open a PR today or tomorrow.

The Link is currently only working in #GNOME Software. It looks like #KDE Discover is just bugged and spits out meaningless errors. The flatpakref works with the official flatpak cli, so it's valid. If I get something easy reproducible, I will open a KDE bug.

@dardarbinx Just use #LinuxMint. I get that some people are hyped for "gaming distros" like Bazzite but Mint is tried and tested and perfectly suited to what you're asking for. I use LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition) but the main version of Mint uses Ubuntu as its base.

Use the #flatpak versions of gaming applications like #Steam #Heroic #RetroArch etc. and you're golden. :)

edit: Bazzite is also based on Fedora, sponsored by Red Hat, owned by IBM, and frankly, that lineage gives me the ick.
