Muy bueno el Piper PA-38 Tomahawk. Es nervioso como el verdadero. Bastante logrado y divertido de volar en #Flightgear. #Linux #flightsimulator #foss
El avión se consigue en https://github.com/awall086/pa38 por $0.

A small #FlightGear version bump has been released in the past few days, for the one and only major #opensource flight simulator we have. Check the change log here:
Anyone here using #flightgear on a windows computer and flying online on #vatsim?
Less than an hour and the inputs of the winwing MCDU I got lend is fully mapped to the A320 in #flightgear
When I arrived the sim ran on MSFS under Windows... now it is running Linux and #flightgear 😈

Geht bei #Flightgear eigentlich F-Schlepp? 🤔
I did a new video on YouTube. Not my Minecraft series but
#FlightGear this time with a HEMSGen mission.

Enjoy!
Wenn die Häuser besser fliegen als du... 🤔
I've did an awesome flight today in #FlightGear a 4 hour HEMS shift. I posted about it on the FlightGear forum, with some screenshots. I won't send the screenshots themselves here as I don't want to burden the server.
But you can see them on the forum - link here - https://forum.flightgear.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=43989#p437378
Enjoy looking at them :) Any questions, please ask.
I wish #TrainSimWorld had #FlightGear's sim speed adjustment. Like, in FlightGear, you can scale time for the entire simulation to go faster to skip boring parts of the flight where nothing's happening. But in TSW6, you can scale the clock, but not the simulation, only you. That sucks, cause it means you go forward in time but the timetable is now thrown off and the sim-driven trains are still moving realtime...
Just found out that #XPlane 's airport scenery is released under GPL, which is why they get away with using Esri Imagery in their editor for free and why #FlightGear uses their scenery too
I did a new video today.
Flying the new AW109GN in #FlightGear .
😔 all arguments against improving #flightgear infra are just "I'm/everyone is used to the big platforms"... so annoying
I wish #Flightgear's interiors would modernize a little, like to reflect that the no smoking sign in the cabin is now a "turn off radio transceivers" sign
The #FlightGear B777 widebody is seeing a revival and with that it has officially moved it's development from sourceforge to gitlab, which will make contributing more convenient for many.

I think #flightgear flight simulator is great achievement, but whenever I look in on it, it's such a mess - their Wiki documents a bunch of things that haven't been relevant for 10+ years, has random dev notes stuck in it, it's hard to tell which various systems are working to make scenery / terrain available etc. Could really use someone with project management and/or doc skills to come wrangle it into something more user friendly.
Stuart started working on volumetric clouds for #flightgear in the last week 🥺 ?
(According to a new branch name and git log which showed up when I pulled the latest changes)
The #FlightGear project has released the stable version 2024.1.3 with mostly bug fixes but also a few features, you can check it out here:
Ça faisait un moment que je n'avais pas réessayé le simulateur de Vol Flightgear, et le rendu a fait de supers progrès ! C'est agréable de survoler Paris...
