@GossiTheDog They are not all the same kind of instances. #Flipboard and #Newsmast e.g. are apps federated with the Fediverse thanks to activity pub, especially to get news directly from media etc. I love Flipboard (a social news aggregator) because I can follow nearly all media or special news interest like culture, climate or countries even if the media have no own account.

You can google them.

But Pubeurope seems to be a scraping spammer. My instance has already hidden all their accounts:

#QuotePosts from #Flipboard don't really seem to work. I understand if the original authors want to approve quote posts after checking them first. But then they have to actually carry out this check.

Instead, I get an *endless* ‘post pending’ every time. These accounts should switch to automatic approval if they don't have time for manual approval!
I have this problem only with Flipboard. com accounts, all others work in seconds only, maximum some hours.
