At today's press conference, #urgewald called out #ADNOC and #COP28 President for gross conflict of interest. ADNOC has the highest production overshoot of any company and its Hail & Gasha project has an estimated lifetime #emissions of 414 million tons of #CO2. There are over 900 legally protected areas that have ongoing or planned #fossilfuel projects. #UAE has 8 protected areas w/ fossil fuel activities, 7 of which are active, and 30% owned by ADNOC. There is no #FossilFreeFuture with ADNOC.
