NPD! I've been wanting this pen (Kaweco Collection Special Red) since it came out, and especially about this time of year I start eyeing it extra much because of the yule colours. Well, last time I looked suddenly there was only one left. Oop. So I bought it! And I got lucky, this is one of those buttery smooth barely there kaweco nibs. Immediately after I took the photo I spilled ink on the sleeve. Red ink, luckily, so it's not really noticeable.

Ok, i am almost certain that the black one is a pre-97 M600, that the blue one is a post-97 M400... but am unable to decide what the green one is. I suspect it is a mismatched cap at the very least.

This weekend, I cleaned my fountain pen for the first time. I finally used up all of the tiny 3ml ink bottles I purchased with it.
This morning meant New Ink Day!
Spouse got me a 5 pack of 30ml Wearingeul ink and I opened one up today: Architecture Infinite Cube.

Attended the Muntinlupa Pelikan Hubs 2025 last Saturday (one of 13 locations in the Philippines). There were over 50 of us. We had lunch, a raffle, an ink bar, and a stamp and sticker station. We each got an ink, a pad and a postcard from Pelikan! Except I did not get the Apricot Achat ink of the year, I got Mandarin (part of the ink assortment our hub received). Here it is with my Pelikan M600.

Always. Wether you're going to restore them yourself or buy restored, they are wonderful writers. You need to be comforatable with the cleaning being time consuming. And be comfortable with how properly take care of whatever material they are made of. Celluloid likes constant temperatures as it can expand or shrink and Ebonite doesn't like long exposures to water or sunlight.

Went to my first Pelikan Hub yesterday at Dromgooles. Such a great store. Everyone was super nice and I ran into a person I used to work with. Looking forward to more pen & stationery meet ups.
And Visconti has a QA issue with their ink bottles too. If you look at the cap - it is crooked.
We had a great Pelikan hub here yesterday. More than 50 people came. Luckily for us, our hub master - Frank - is a very generous man. After seeing that Pelikan sent mostly Rose Quartz, he reached out to their distributor and got Apricot Achat for all of us. And he let people take Rose Quartz bottles, if they wanted them (they aren't selling). So to support him, I bought a very expensive ink $35 - Visconti Green.
