Also in parcel - pack of 4mm long acrylic screws to replace the prone-to-rust ones in the aforementioned 3008s, both old and new. Spoiler - I should have ordered 5mm long, at least for the old pens. Not dismantling the new ones in case I send them back.

AliExpress parcel arrived, with pack of 4 Wing Sung 3008 #FountainPens. They are sufficiently different, and sufficiently poorer quality build, that I strongly suspect they are either fake or built in a different factory rather than a model revision. Not sure whether to file a complaint.

No click stop on the piston, but there is a 2mm or so gap between the blind cap and the metallic retaining ring on the body. The retaining ring is slightly different. The blind cap feels a lot sloppier.

I remember seeing this Sailor Hiroshima Factory special pen once, and wishing I could buy it (ha). I guess when people talk about grail pens, this is one of mine. Finally found a vintage Pelikan 140 F with a bit of flex. It’s been loved, but the nib’s in great condition for its age and the body/cap just a wee bit tired (1950s). Ink is Diamine Kelly Green.
