Four mandarin ducks swimming underneath some branches. The two drakes are brightly coloured shades of orange with black and white highlights, while the females are elegant in brown and grey. All of them have slightly startled expressions.

After a rather late night yesterday, so far this year feels a bit, well… this photo might be a bit of a clue. One short of #FourDuckFriday. Anyway, so far I have not seen any ducks this year.
