$An expanse of grey with a glowing white line in the centre angles across the bottom third of the image; it looks rather like a nighttime highway or a video game racetrack. There's a #jazzy insouciance to this #fractal that I enjoy. I think it comes from the casual, improvisational scribbliness, the brassy colour, and a hint of #saxophone DNA.

The inner section sports gold frills. Further out is a section that looks uncannily like knitted shell stitches in a delicate lavender. In the outer part of the spiral strands of light brown, pale green, and muted lavender are woven together. At bottom left, where the kniitting project is not quite finished, the spiral peters out into coppery scraps.

Against a dark background a greenish-blue spiral radiates from a peach tinted centre. It is partially obscured by a series of tall, narrow, slightly blurry red ellipses — as if someone had sketched thin watercolour windows or hung loops of silk. The spiral's arms are like rows of blue-white stars that cross through the rosy ellipses, turn black, then red, and travel on into deep space.

Thorny black shapes loom against a misty, blood-red background. Suspended along the top of the shapes is a chain of spirals. At the centre of each spiral is a pale glow that might be a will-o-the-wisp... or perhaps it is an eye with a bluish-green iris and dark red pupil, watching you.

I'm fascinated at how this apparently simple #fractal — just a bunch of coloured #lines at first glance — reveals increasing complexity as one looks more closely.
