I've converted the step file to stl using #freecad. Seems OK.
Converting it to editable openscad is more ambitious, and it wouldn't surprise me if it's impossible.

I don't understand why #QCad is not very popular in the Linux community. It has a free, GPL version that is way more put together than LibreCAD. In fact, LibreCAD is a fork of QCad from the late 2000s. QCad has way more features now, and most are free.
Sure, there's FreeCAD too, but that's more about 3D CAD, and it's more difficult to learn & use. QCad is a good starter 2D Cad/Cam, especially if you're coming from #AutoCAD 's UI.
My Evil Cube print files are public now... The solution is not. Please let me know if you find one. #FreeCAD https://www.printables.com/model/1339793-evil-cube
I just updated #Anubis for the @FreeCAD infrastructure. There's now support for challenges without requiring client-side #JavaScript, and a "success... failure!"-type bug affecting #Chromium should now be fixed. Please let me know if you run into any issues! #FreeCAD
#Freecad Friday's print is a sleeve I had to design myself for a medication thermos. Over the last ~30+ years, personal medication transport hasn't improved all that much to me. This TPU sleeve is going to keep glass bottles from getting rattled around between an ice pack and a metal interior thermos wall. I'll put this on printables in case anybody else can use this. #3dprinting
Prototyping a kinetic sculpture with #FreeCAD
It's #FreeCADFriday once again! Have a great weekend when you get there. In the meantime, what are you working on with #FreeCAD?
There seems to be a point where #Freecad models get just too complicated to reasonably manage x.x
The great thing about CAD-Modeling is that you spot a bunch of problems in the design stage of a project.

IIRC, after 18 months of owning a 3D printer, after my split keyboard this is the second actually practical #3dprint ...
That said, I'm actually starting to get the feel for #freecad , I managed to put this together in 10 minutes, mostly hunting across various workbenches to find the operations I need
I love sheet metal. And I love @FreeCAD

Enough #freecad for today. Finally, real bike-shedding!
Hey @yorik I was studying today and found this:

Did you knew about this publication? :P
@lps @scarlet here is another great channel https://youtube.com/@opensourcecnc #FreeCAD
I have 3D-designed H-Pfosten-Anker and I will use them! #freecad
@scarlet might be a good time to learn #freecad the effort will last a lifetime, it keeps getting better and better.

@drfootleg Just starting the eldest on #freecad hopefully it'll make more sense to him than it does me.
