A lovely cluster of golden oysters growing from a misty log. A fern we call moose horn at home but it probably had a different name arched overhead.

A large bracket fungus on an old, wide tree stump that has been cut close to the ground. Grass is growing on top of it and around it. The fungus is like a large pale brown wonky dinner plate decorated with darker rings of dots and dashes.

A cluster of pale polypores (shelf mushrooms) stick off the side of a tree trunk that also has some moss and lichen.

More polypores on the same tree, they have a delicate looking smooth flesh with a frilly underside.

The organisms vary in size, with some appearing as small, individual spheres and others forming larger, more irregular masses. Their texture appears somewhat granular or bubbly. Found some basket fungus by the cycle path this morning. Also known as Ileodictyon Cibarium.

Off white short strands of puffy stuff, branching off to make a ring of about 5 sides, and each join branching again so that it forms a many sided basket. At least, it looks like that in the picture on Wikipedia. This photo has a few of them looking melted and collapsed on themselves in amongst wood chips and struggling bits of green plus a bit of plastic rubbish.
