good feedback! i think #furiphone has support for #android apps (#waydroid iirc?) and back in the day so did #jolla / #sailfish - i think you can get those on a #sony these days

Deren CEO Bardia Moshiri ist vielleicht einigen auch aus den Droidian Projects bekannt. Der Umstand, dass er zeitweise für Volla gearbeitet hat, erklärt auch, wie es dazu kam, dass das Gigaset GX6 als Basis für das FLX1 dient.

Ach Leute ich kann mich nicht entscheiden. Fairphone5 oder Furiphone FX1 oder soll ich spekulieren, dass bald ein FP6 kommt? Got my christmas present that I made myself today:
The @furilabs #furiphone #flx1 today. First impressions: big chunky brick, responsive, good camera not worse than my #fairphone5 camera I would say but I need to test more. Haven't tried android apps yet will do after the first complete charge. And the best thing for me: true multitasking like on a normal pc
@justine By the way, i got the #FuriPhone FLX1 from #Furilabs and i strongly recommend it if you want a daily driver Linux phone! It's been amazing so far! And the team and support are amazing too!

I have two original Pinephones, each with a screen issue. If only I could get half-decent pictures from them, and also video, I'd be more inclined to order the screen replacements to get them properly working again...
I'm a little bit put off by the dearth of detailed info on the FuriPhone website (not a single picture of the darn phone apart from an interactive view that doesn't show much 🤦♂️). Also, the phablet size is disappointing.

That said, last time I checked - which was quite a while ago - they definitely weren't ready for even basic daily driver usage. That said, a lot seems to have happened since then. Personally I'm considering a #FuriPhone now. Hearing a lot of good things there. All I really want is reliable calls, texts, mobile data and camera.
@FLOSS_Weekly @JP_Bennett @dsearls Would be great if you could also interview the #Droidian dev who launched the #FLX1 Linux mobile phone recently.
