I was trying to get a photo of the little bees after I took photos of this big bumble bee but wasn't successful but I see I got a good picture of one with the bumblebee. I think it's a Ligated Furrow Bee minus it's usual coating of pollen but it has a little bit stuck to it. The big ones is a Brown-belted Bumble Bee Bombus griseocollis I think.

A large bumble bee on a pink bee balm flower and a very small black bee to it's right in flight. The small bee is about the size of the bumble bees face width.

Probably some kind of furrow bee, Genus Halictus, on a calendula flower.

A small native bee on a yellow flower facing right. The bee is more black than yellow and is a little furry. The flower petals are pale yellow and the center is more orange.

The bee is facing to the left. The camera showed a bit of rolling shutter on the wings which appear curved as well as the shadow of the right wing.

If I’m not mistaken this is a great banded furrow-bee (Halictus scabiosae)

Macro shot of a bee sitting on a flower. The hairs all over the body are clearly visible, as well as the pollen on the hind legs. Equally striking are the deep black eyes.

A furrow bee of some sort (g. Halictus). I think :-)

An orange-legged furrow bee (Halictus rubicundus) wiping some pollen off its face in Carl Schurz Park. These are a type of sweat bee, and the same species can be either solitary or eusocial. Not sure which this one is, but it was covered in pollen and having a blast in some sunflowers.
