At 7:41 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, then new BNSF 6581, 6583, 5136, 4009, 5604 and 5035 led a southbound manifest out of Caliente, CA. They were approaching Tunnel 1 in the Tehachapi mountains.
BNSF 6581 is a GE ES44C4. Reportedly: it was built in 2013, serial number 61494.

At 8:38 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Barstow, CA, BNSF 5261 was leading a 4+0 (5261, 4342, 4320, 5430) eastbound intermodal train onto the Needles Subdivision. Behind it a westbound 5+0 (BNSF 6836, 4014, NS 2583, 724wb, 960) manifest was heading in the other direction.
BNSF 5261 is a GE C44-9W. Reportedly: it was built in 2002 serial number 53755.

At 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Barstow, CA, near where East Tower once was, an eastbound BNSF Auto Racks (6778, 7501) started it's journey onto the Needles Subdivision.
BNSF 6778 is a GE ES44C4. Reportedly: it was built in 2011 builder's number 60448.

1) when the pump has adequately evacuated the water from the chamber
2) when the chamber has adequately filled with water

The inlet point to the sensor had become compacted with dishwasher sludge which prevented it from sensing correctly. This caused my dishwasher to either:

a) run the drain pump forever at the beginning of the cycle
and/or
b) not fill the chamber with water at the beginning of the cycle

I had to fix my dishwasher this morning.

As happened with my HVAC a few weeks ago, I had to learn the terminology first before I could search the internet and debug the problem.

The issue was with a dirty "pressure switch" which is a frequency-outputting metal diaphragm sensor at the bottom of the outlet assembly.

Apparently the sensor generates between 39.12Hz and 43.94Hz depending on how much water is in the base of the chamber.

Today in Labor History December 10, 1906: A year and a half after their founding, the IWW (Industrial Workers of the World) launched the first sit-down strike in the U.S. at a General Electric plant in Schenectady, New York after three workers were fired. James Conolly, one of the IWW’s founding members and later martyr during the Easter Rising in Dublin, was supposedly involved in this strike. Their method was later adopted by the labor movement in the 1930s, with the Flint Sit-Down Strike being the most well-known.
