That Downtown Manhattan view again.

I keep coming back to this same scene, because in addition to whatever interest may lie in documenting successive usually-small changes in the skyline as the neverending development proceeds – this view has endless different ways it can look depending on the state of the light and clouds.

BTW, I'm pretty pleased with where I got the WTC spire placed in that darker region of the cloud framing it. Nowadays I unfortunately have to make a point of pointing out that that was indeed the way things looked at the moment the photo was taken; I didn't place the clouds via cybernetic means.

(I did of course tweak aspects of brightness, contrast, and color balance in the normal ways.)

For those who may be interested: this was taken with the way cool Fujifilm GFX100RF camera and its built-in lens. Unlike some of my other high-resolution photos of this scene, this one isn't stitched together; it's a single frame from this unreasonably high-resolution Medium-Format-Lite camera. Cropped to this shape, the image is still around 75 megapixels.

The second hand #prizes of #medium #format #fixed #lens cameras are getting insane. I was hoping #Fuji releasing #GFX100RF #digital medium format #viewfinder #camera would cool that market down and ppl would sell off their old cameras to get a new one so I could maybe get myself a used 645 analog rangefinder for a bargain. That has not happened, on contrary, the prizes have increased even higher, reaching now €1,5k.- on ebay for a few decades old camera that may break down after the first roll.
