It has been, somewhat unbelievably, just over seven years since we detected #GW170817, which was notable for just how many firsts it represented in astronomy:
+ First observed merger of two neutron stars
+ First observation of #GravitationalWaves and light from the same event
+ First confirmed kilonova from a neutron star collision.
