so the #codm #gundam event is OK. it still has all the gacha treadmill crap but the gundam TDM mode is fun. the sd mini battle is a little lame, maybe it's intended to be a second screen activity to keep engagement high.
it is funny that in order to use my #gamesir g8+ with codm, I have to pair an Xbox controller and leave it on to trick the game into thinking I'm using an Xbox controller. I do wonder if my #8bitdo would work. I know my gamesir x2 does but it's small
installed #grimvalor tonight. forgot I had that game. It's quite a fun mishmash of genres. I normally don't like mixups like that but this one does it well. plays great with my #gamesir controllers, too.
the graphics/art has a very particular feel to it that's close to the #3ds and your character seems to be immune to gravity. that kind of makes it even more unique.
well I didn't even place on the online leaderboards (though I think they're a little messed up because they give me errors) but I'm happy with my #blazingstar caravan score just now.
used my #gamesir x2 pro this time instead of the g8+. my thumb kept sticking to the magnetic buttons and I popped one off in the middle of the boss fight.

Another controller ordered and tested and another returned:
I tried the PXN P5 and one of the triggers was defective. This new one the EasySMX X20 was just not what I thought it would be. The gyro was really bad and the buttons were so loud it was obnoxious. I think the PNX felt better all around and it was half the price.
I guess I'll just keep waiting for a real Steam controller successor. Hopefully that Gamesir leak ends up releasing soon!

J'ai enfin réussi à paramétrer correctement pour Linux mon gamepad gamesir Nova Lite😀.
Après l'avoir mise à jour avec le firmware 6900. J'ai synchronisé le dongle et la manette, puis pour la basculé en mode input X, en appuyant sur les boutons menu et start. Avec cette configuration la manette est bien reconnue et les vibrations fonctionnent #gamesir #novalite
My new controller (#GameSir Kaleid) arrived yesterday.
The Kaleid has has RGB, which I plan to turn off--I didn't buy it because it lights up. Apparently I need the GameSir Nexus program for that. It's Windows software, available on the Microsoft Store, so I am firing up the old Windows 10 virtual machine.
I haven't ran the Windows 10 VM for awhile, so the first thing I have to do is wait while Windows 10 updates, presumably to a worse version. Is it going to nag me to get Windows 11?
My daughter is 14, she is hard to buy for. Her nan asked for christmas ideas. She's spending a lot of time gaming on her phone lately so I suggested the #GameSir X2s. She asked me if I know a way she can play #sonic adventure 2 on her phone which she used to play as a kid, so I set her up with #redream emulator and transferred a copy of sonic from my set up to her phone. She loves gaming without ads and now wants to learn about #emulation. Feeling a strange mix of fatherly pride and jealousy.
I recently discovered my #GameSir X2S Bluetooth mobile gaming controller also works as a USB controller through its charging port. It shows up as an Xbox/XInput compatible gamepad in #Linux and #Steam. Here it is in lsusb on #postmarketOS plugged into my tablet.
