Does anyone know if Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail work on Linux? I can only find really outdated info about genshin, and nothing at all for star rail. I know they both have anti-cheat components but I don't know how invasive they are or whether they function under WINE/Proton.

Update: Community consensus seems to be:
- Genshin: Yes
- Star Rail: Probably

Thanks everyone! I'll give it a try, if I can manage to get nvidia drivers working on a live-USB install. (I don't want to actually reinstall my whole system until I know everything will work, lol)

I'll get back to it and try to play it again soon - but the hardest thing to accept about Baldur's Gate 3 is that it's called Baldur's Gate 3. If it had any other name, it might be easier to accept that it's not RTWP combat.

Been thinking on this as I replayed Baldur's Gate 1 recently (and currently playing through Pillars of Eternity again).

I’ve finally cut the cord on my PlayStation and Xbox subscriptions. It turns out you need them just to play a handful of online titles.

Now my Steam Deck is my main gaming console. There are no extra fees, cloud saves sync seamlessly to my Linux PC, and the device is portable.

What really impressed me? Fallout 76 on the Deck. On the medium preset I’m consistently hitting 60 fps with zero hiccups.

Even stranger, the same game struggles on my desktop with an RTX 4060. I don’t know what magic Valve is doing on the Deck, but it’s clear the “Steam Machine” will exceed everyone’s expectations.
