Der International Non-Binary Day wird jedes Jahr am 14. Juli gefeiert. Er ist ein Tag, der darauf aufmerksam macht, dass es mehr als nur die Geschlechter „männlich" und „weiblich" gibt. Non-binäre Menschen identifizieren sich nicht
(ausschließlich) als Mann oder Frau - ihr Geschlecht liegt außerhalb oder zwischen diesen traditionellen Kategorien.
Der Tag soll Sichtbarkeit schaffen, über non-binäre Identitäten aufklären und für mehr Akzeptanz, Rechte und Anerkennung sorgen. Er liegt bewusst in der Mitte zwischen dem Internationalen
Frauentag (8. März) und dem Internationalen Männertag (19. November).
