Located on a dirt road between I-40 and the Turquoise Trail, north of Albuquerque, Coyote and Hagan were coal mining communities in the early 1900s. The mines in Hagan closed in 1939. Only the foundations and a few brick walls of the power plant, general store, reservoir, and a few smaller buildings remain, visible from the road. However, it is private land. No trespassing.

The title of this photo is "Obsolete upgrade." It refers to the two stoves. The stove on the right is a wood stove. It is in very poor shape with the oven door partially open and the surface burner plates askew. The stove on the left is the "upgrade." it is a gas stove. It is in better shape with a series of knobs across the front on the left, an oven door below the knobs, two more oven doors on the right side, and a full length drawer across the bottom. It is a first or second generation gas range, thus it is obsolete, yet it is an upgrade to the older wood stove.

I had a coupon for the 2 croissantwich breakfast special with coffee and potatoes at the local #BurgerKing in #BrowardCountyFlorida. Although I haven't been here for about 2 months, I was astonished that there was nobody in this restaurant other than the help. There were a few people in the Drive-Thru line, but I wanted to stay inside and enjoy the meal.
