If it wasn't for my nan falling asleep in her armchair whilst me and my sister were staying with her, there's no way I would've been allowed to have watched that aged 10. I'm so glad I did, though, even though I didn't get much sleep that Halloween night! 👻

Getting spooked watching more or less scary stuff on our small TV (home theater setup still being unpacked). After all the Critters (a bit worse than I remembered) and The Editor (a really fun one), today was finally time for Ghostwatch. It must have been an intense experience at the time it was aired, but it still holds up as spooky now. Enjoyed it a lot!

@SilverArrows I had never heard of #Ghostwatch — but I was sufficiently intrigued to look it up in Wikipedia, and add the article to my Wikipedia to-read list!

Anyone remember #Ghostwatch? We must have missed the beginning where they introduced it as a drama. For some reason my mum let us kids watch it too.

At the end, it got a bit OTT, and my mum said, oh well that's definitely fake then. But I was still traumatised. I had nightmares all night and my sisters had to call my mum in. I remember being freaked out and not sleeping without being awoken by a nightmare.

I've always been easily freaked out.

I finally saw #LateNightWithTheDevil and I really enjoyed it. It did feel like it was connected to the #cultTV classic #Ghostwatch (1992) but in the best possible way. #HorrorMovies

The wonderful people from #cinemaunderthestairs have been running the horror film festival #shocktoberfest for years. It's one of my cultural highlights.

A couple of years ago I got the festival pass and saw them all. They held a graduation ceremony for all of us who did and I still revere it as important as my astronomy o-level, PhD and the certificate I got for winning an egg and spoon race at a #NationalTrust property pre #covid.
