A reminder/suggestion for anybody gifting a gaming console to a kid (or anyone who does not wait well):
Before you wrap it, or at least 24 hours before they'll be opening it, carefully unbox it, plug it in, get it online, and let it download all its updates. If you got games for it, go ahead and install those and let them update too.
The extra effort allows the recipient to use their gift right away instead of waiting hours for it to download the updates before it will let them play.
