🗨️ The global mission should be not to think big anymore, but to think new, which is always combined with loss of former established structures, of course. But worth a thoughtful discussion imo. I don't think the subject is too complex to adress global human rights issues, it's more a matter of understanding and analysing old mistakes we made, the digital ones included.

We combine #data on key #GlobalChallenges from the @WHO #GlobalHealthEstimates of July 2024 and other latest data from the #UN with data from the #GBDstudy (Global Burden of Disease Study), completed in May 2024, as well as other sources. The GBD Study was created by over 12,000 collaborators and is based at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington.

#COVID19 was the leading
cause of #death among the observed #GlobalChallenges in 2021 with 8⃣.7⃣1⃣ to 1⃣0⃣.8⃣ million deaths worldwide (@WHO, #GBDstudy, @TheEconomist/@ourworldindata@vis.social, all based on excess mortality). In the previous year, the number of deaths was 4.05 to 5.03 million.
