Am Ende des Pfades öffnet sich der Blick auf den Glymur, der sich in die Tiefe stürzt. Die Gischt steigt bis weit nach oben und legt sich wie ein feiner Nebel über das Tal. Glymur ist heute der zweithöchste Wasserfall Islands, seit er 2011 vom Morsárfoss übertroffen wurde. Aufgrund der engen Schlucht, in die er fällt, kann man jedoch nie den gesamten Wasserfall auf einmal sehen – ein Teil seiner 198 Meter hohen Kaskade bleibt dem Blick immer verborgen.
