โ€œInstead of working for a nice life, weโ€™re working to line the pockets of billionaires. We are being bled dry.โ€

And this is why Hannah Spencer won with a 4000 majority in a former Labour stronghold. Greens (in the UK) call out the Epstein Class, they don't bow down to it.

Clive Lewis is right but his Party will dismiss what he said and carry on as it is.

24mago 14.36 GMT

Labour MP Clive Lewis has called for a โ€œclean breakโ€ for the party after the
Gorton and Denton byelection, describing the defeat as โ€œa punch in the
faceโ€.

The Norwich South MP, a prominent left-wing critic of the current
leadership, said:

M4 The byelection result is a punch in the face for the Labour Party and for
Keir Starmerโ€™s premiership.

This government has burned its base, alienated its core vote, sidelined its
activists and stuck two fingers up to the very people we came into politics to
represent - and weโ€™re surprised voters are walking away?

Changing the leader without changing the politics would be a waste of time.
The problem isnโ€™t presentation. Itโ€™s direction. We promised change and
delivered continuity. We talk tough but govern timid. We protect vested
interests when we should be taking them on.

Reform is growing because millions feel ignored and taken for granted. If we
donโ€™t offer real change, theyโ€™ll channel their anger elsewhere, as they have this
week in Denton and Gorton.
Stopping Reform now has to be the priority. But Labour canโ€™t do that from a
position of arrogance or denial. We will need to work with other progressive
parties.

That means co-operation. It means democratic reform. It means accepting we
do not own the centre-left vote.

None of that happens unless Labour changes fundamentally. Not tweaks. Not
reshuffles. A clean break.

If we carry on like this, we wonโ€™t just lose byelections. Weโ€™ll lose the country for
a generation.

Greens claim they could win more than 100 seats at next
election on basis of Gorton and Denton-type swing

The Green party is claiming that it could win more than 100 seats at the next
election on the basis of the swing it achieved in Gorton and Denton.

In practice, parties rarely replicate their best byelection results at general
elections.

But More in Common, a polling company and campaigning organisation, has
produced an analysis today showing how Gorton and Denton compared with
other Green byelection results.

The top BBC news story barely mentions that the Greens won, it's all "Starmer and the Labour Party"

Will the Greens be invited more onto BBC Question Time?

Of course not, don't think we have a Free Press do we? lol....

"The swing from Labour was 26% in Gorton and Denton, and the Greens now have five MPs in Parliament. Egan said Labour should be 'taking the fight' to Reform UK Leader Nigel Farage โ€œrather than letting him set the agenda.' โ€

Labour's Dirty 'Epstein Class' tricks.
I'm glad the Greens have reported them, it's time to kick out the trash in our politics, lest we end up like the USA.

"Working Class People Must Never Represent Us In Parliament"

The Classism in British Society is really coming out with Hannah's election.

The way the Press say "she's a plumber", like a beloved family pet had won a drivers licence somehow...

Imagine this was your Party's strategy, to insult and demean your base for a voting block that hates you. What fucking geniuses came up with that one? I bet they're Epstein Class...

Clear though the risk was, Labour simply refused to acknowledge it. Until
very recently, No 10 strategy, as defined by Morgan McSweeney, was built
around neglecting, even insulting, progressive voters, and seeking to win
back defections to Reform. Come the next general election, so the argument
went, progressives would sheepishly have to back Labour, just as leftwing
voters in France got behind Emmanuel Macron when push came to shove.

A bad day for those who assume all Working Class People are an illiterate horde of bigots that can be bought off with Racism.

That's the current Labour party then.

"Keep Fighting"....the British Public, yeah? Same as you've been doing for the past two years, and the voters rewarded you accordingly.
But the voters of Gorton and Denton, many of them ex-Labour are all 'terrorists' now, aren't they? Following the Epstein Class playbook there.

PM vows to โ€˜keep fightingโ€™ after Greens sweep
past Labour and Reform to win byelection

Keir Starmer dismisses the Green Party as "left wing extremists" while he cosies up to fascists and drops "Island of Strangers" on us, the lying, disingenuous prick.

Interesting too that the BBC been giving huge oxygen to the far right by endlessly inviting Farage and his cronies onto their shows and giving them a platform. That platform has been denied to the Greens more often than not. I wonder who will be invited onto the next news or debate programme?

I left the #labour party in 2010 & joined the #greens. The final straw of many for me was Labourโ€™s response to the opportunity presented by the 2008 banking crisis to move towards an economy focused on human & planetary wellbeing, instead turbo-charging pointless consumerism, maintaining house price inflation & subsidising rather than punishing the bankers who had crashed so many peopleโ€™s livelihoods

has not been forgotten or forgiven,โ€ said a councillor in the constituency. โ€œLots of us are now worried for our seatsโ€. No shit ๐Ÿ˜‚ !

Congratulations to the for their victory in , hopefully opening a new area when basic decency, , no and supporting the we depend on is not seen as some dangerous idea, or just impossible utopia (hear sigh in imcomprehension as he's wheeled out).
