Critical acclaim and popularity of “The Teenage Apocalypse Trilogy” led to Gregg Araki being commissioned by MTV to make a Y2K era series titled “This Is How the World Ends”. The pilot was shot with a $700K budget and with lots of interference from MTV , who ultimately did not air the project. We’ll probably watch it here sometime.

Watched the Criterion release of Gregg Araki’s Teen Apocalypse Trilogy which includes Totally Fucked Up, Doom Generation, and Nowhere.

Such beautiful prints with fun extras. Been loving Araki’s films since the 90s and this treatment is well deserved.

Now if his first two films could come out.
