Peter Nilsson, head of Advanced Programs at #SAAB thinks they are 10-20 years ahead to everyone else and that the system has been tested with good results in airspace with civilian planes without endanger them.

#Finland is contemplating withdrawing from the #Ottawa Convention, which bans antipersonnel land mines. #Sweden is an engine of military innovation. JAS 39 #Gripen jet fighters, designed to operate on short runways and counter Russian aircrafts, participated in a NATO surveillance mission in March.

The Gripen was in contention instead of the F-35 a few years ago. It's now in contention again due to you know what. Apparently they also have a new Rolls-Royce instead of the GE engine available.
