If it's called the "American Gulf" and not the "Mexican Gulf," then we Europeans will likely be sent a bill if the Gulf Stream collapses and the temperature here in #Europe drops by 10° Celsius:

When I got to the #NatureConservancy I remembered that they knuckled under to the administration's renaming of the #GulfOfMexico, so 1) I reduced my amount a little from last year, and 2) I made my donation "In Memory Of The Gulf of Mexico."

I doubt they'll notice, but it made me feel better.
