Have just completed the Pixie 40 metre kit. It seems to work first time despite being from #aliexpress . The buzzer is really loud. Now to try and get back the Morse skills I had over 30 years ago, but the speed of those operators I'm receiving on it using 7023kHz is intimidating. I think it's a beginner's set for construction but not for operating! #hamradio

Another win for our Balloon experiment Our educational Micro:Bit based LoRaWAN is sending live Temperatures from 30km up into our network server. This Sensor Node was built by 10th grade Students from our partner school.

It has cooled down considerably today so back to some more LEDs to solder into the place of little teensy tiny incandescent light bulbs in an old short wave radio. I think I will preemptively replace the non-burned out bulbs whilst I am in there for future proofing. I will also try to figure out why the green isn't so bright as the other lights. I will be very frustrated by lunch time!

Tonight is my General exam, about six weeks since I took my Technician exam. I feel ready. Took 32 practice exams over the past couple of weeks and was 35/35 on them. Studied my flash cards yesterday. Today is "no study" day, just rest and get ready.

P. S. Best Bent Wire was sent by WWII RAF radio OPs to warm up their fist.
