One is a boat of a totalitarian leader. There is a captain who knows the seas, and everyone on that ship listens like software listens. There is no debate, and when you're told to turn left, you turn left.

There is another – I call that ship the ship of fools – where every single decision is debated, everything single decision deserves a plebiscite. Also, the captain's turn, they change every half an hour, so just getting out of the dock, we changed four different captains, so that you don't think too much of yourself. The second ship doesn't know where it's really going.

Not with ships – but with human society – the ship of fools somehow gets to the destination first, and safer, even though they don't know where they're going.
