Today I finished #book 20 of this year's #52BookChallenge, 'Death of a Gossip' by #MCBeaton... it's the first book of the #HamishMacbeth series. It's also for prompt 37, a genre chosen by someone else. It is a drawing room #mystery that was chosen for me by a friend.
I'm not really too sure what to make of this book, as it was a rather long build up, with a short investigation. I'll probably carry on with this series, but it won't be a priority, unless it starts getting better.

Haven't seen it in years but #HamishMacBeth popped into my head today while watching #ReservationDogs.
Ended up thinking of other things set in wee, out of the way places like #NorthernExposure too.

I'm watching the Hamish Macbeth Stone of Scone episode and its the most surreal piece of TV I have watched in many a year!
#ShirleyHenderson (the actress who played #MoaningMyrtle) is lovely in this series as Isobel Sutherland. However I'm wrong on the geographics... it would seem that the Loch Dubh of #HamishMacbeth is actually an imaginary one in the far northwest of #Scotland, not in the same location as the actual IRL #LochDubh. Cheers, Google, for that wee tidbit.
