The little white dots in the water are Kittiwakes, who are just starting to terrorise the locals by nesting on cliffs and chatting loudly aaaaaaaaaall through the night.

Yesterday we headed out on a little wooden boat for a fjord tour with a tour group and soaked up the combination of fresh snow plus sunshine. I just love the Arctic.

Pretty good day today. Won't see these lovely mountains again until the the year end. That makes me sad, but I must remember how lucky I am to have spent some quality time here

Have enjoyed escaping from reality for just a little bit, and connecting with a different kind of reality.

Today I rode to one of my happy places, some small falls above Lake Woodford. The creek flows slowly down a rock shelf before tumbling 10m straight down. I always stop here when I do the circuit.

Who says it's not spring? Beautiful pink flowers on small shrubs are out in force. Possibly a boronia, if so, not strongly scented, as many are. The flowers are framed by trees, a stump, and a rock. A variety 9f local native plants are in shot.

One of my happy places. A creek gently crossing a lichen covered sandstone rockshelf. The circular areas are from rocks being spun by currents gently grinding the soft stone. Ferns and grasses line the water's edge, then larger eucalyptus (gum) trees and scrub. The sky is thinly clouded and blue.

Not having the best mood day if I'm honest. But there is always something in the garden to make me smile

Friend of mine restored this lovely old timber boat and that was one of the nicest days out on the water I can remember.

One more special capture from the night of March 3. In the early part of the evening we stood outside our cabin and shot the aurora as the clouds faded away.

This scene is taken shooting straight up overhead, with a 14mm lens. Even then, it wasn't wide enough to capture the full scene. Just a glimpse really!

Little Molas lake in Southwest Colorado lies among the mountains under a clear blue sky

Amazes me how many butterflies are still darting about in Bhutan even at this time of year.

There's a few winter blossoms that help things along. We're just getting to the end of the leather wood and it's stunning blue petals.

The other day we arrived in Phobjikha and headed to the crane centre and a storm blew through but first it lit up the other side of the valley :)
