The New York Times newspaper reported today, Monday, that US President Donald Trump has told his advisors to begin assessing a potential strike on Iran.

Sources say the potential plan for the attack would target the Supreme Religious Leader of Iran, the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, all nuclear facilities, and the ballistic missile program.

US officials have said that if Tehran disregards Washington's demands and does not make serious efforts to reach an agreement in ongoing diplomatic efforts, bad events will occur.

According to the newspaper's report, senior American and Iranian negotiators are scheduled to meet in Geneva on Wednesday; the newspaper has labeled this round of talks "final hours, negotiations."

The third stage of the talks is expected to include discussions on preventing military confrontation, while US warships are stationed in the region, positioned within a short distance of Iran.

The Greater Israel project refers to a hypothetical territory that extends from Lebanon to the deserts of Saudi Arabia and from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River in Iraq.
