Review: Skilhunt H200 - an all-purpose right-angle headlamp with white and red

The Skilhunt H200 is a midsize right-angle flashlight and headlamp with two white LEDs and one red, powered by an 18650 size Li-ion rechargeable battery recharged internally with a USB-magnetic cable. The right-angle light is perhaps the most versatile category of flashlight since it can be used as a handheld flashlight, a headlamp, clipped to gear or clothing, or attached to surfaces with its magnetic tailcap. Someone who wants one flashlight for all use cases will be well served by a light like this, as long as none of those use cases involves illuminating things much past 100m.

The gateway API for #kubernetes is pretty interesting. It’s stable now but new to me, when Jan Jensen added a PR to #headlamp to support it last week.”. There’s always so much happening so I kind of missed it. Basically it’s the successor to Ingress (which is the k8s term for service routing or in another name a https reverse proxy/load balancer). My understanding is gateway is cleaning and standardizing things, and addressing missing spots (L4-L7 vs only http L7).

Happy that we put out a new release of #Headlamp (the #kubernetes UI). A few things in there that make managing resources a bit easier.

We have the first iteration of a new Map view. It's pretty neat for seeing relationships between different types of resources, and also for seeing activity and issues from a high level. Which you can't really see when just looking at separate data tables.

It's much easier to observe issues in one area affecting other related resources.

Latest acquisition came in today, so that completes my #backpacking #camping #lighting kit.

Fenix E12 v2.0 handheld #flashlight, Fenix HM23 #headlamp, Nitecore LA10 CRI #lantern, Nitecore NWE30 #emergency beacon.

The NWE30 takes a single CR123A lithium primary, the others are all single AA cells, for which I use Energizer L91 lithium primaries. I carry one backup cell for each device, more if I think I will be out longer (which I only do very rarely, because Real Life Intrudes).
