County Inland Central Coast, Santa Barbara County Southwestern
Coast, Santa Lucia Mountains, Santa Ynez Mountains Western Range,
Santa Ynez Valley, and Southern Salinas Valley.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 6 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...There is a high risk for heat illness for sensitive
populations including the very young, the very old, those without
air conditioning, and those active outdoors.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for the North Bay valleys and the San Francisco Bayshore for Thursday, and the rest of the interior Bay Area and Central Coast for Thursday through Friday. High temperatures will generally be in the middle 80s to lower 100s. Remember: Never leave people or pets in vehicles! Limit outdoor activities during the afternoon and evening hours, stay hydrated and take cooling breaks.

Heat Advisories remain in place to the west of the @WDEFnews12 viewing area into the next few days as a heat dome continues to build north off the Gulf. Heat index temperatures in the orange #HeatAdvisory area around 105F, ~112F in the Excessive Heat Warning areas.

We have a heat advisory for Sunday, then another for Tuesday through Thursday. If we don't hit 100F, I will be surprised and thrilled. It's an east wind.
