I love the Helleborus. Especially the Helleborus orientalis. I think that is the most beautiful. In my garden there are a lot of them, pink, white and dark red, even double ones. These wonderful things have been bred in a myriad of different colours, shapes & styles & are truly mesmerising

Folk travel from all around the world to come and see these stock plants and marvel at their splendour.

They are easy to grow, as long as you feed them well, plant in deep soil in spring sunshine & summer shade. Liquid feed monthly from April to September. They are prolific seed producers.

Ashwood Nurseries has been growing, crossing, and imperfections their range of X hybridus hellebores and others for many years. The results are beautiful to behold.

Happy #Monday y'all. Our first #hellebores have appeared in the garden, which is amazing.

So, as the rest of the world disappears up its own backside, at least my garden is a safe haven of beauty, peace and calm whenever I need it.

Maybe the world will end due to the big orange pimple, and maybe it won't.

Maybe this is the lesson that the democratic world needs, and maybe it isn't.

I can't do much about the pox ridden satsuma over there, but I can look after what I can right here.
