#LanguageLoss as experienced by a person who never properly acquired her #HeritageLanguage, plus expert comments, busting the myths about #multilingualism, and making an important point: #MinorityLanguages are often not treated as languages but as ethnic attributes. When laypeople (also decision-makers) speak about "languages", "[I]t's often not about the languages at all – but about social attitudes, especially to immigration."
