The problem is always reach. The live-service market is so saturated that unless your game is "The next big thing" and can sustain itself from day one, it will struggle.

I hope that #Fragpunk does well on the market, but the same I said about #XDefiant and look how it went.

I get the sentiment about #MarvelRivals being a total success.

What I don't get is putting it as a "total success". They already jump over "The Chasm", something that #Concord didn't do (spectacularly).

The thing know is how they stay relevant in the next month. #Helldivers2, #Palworld, #TheFinals, #DiabloIV, all of them had major user base drips.

How #NetEase will try to avoid this symptom of modern live services?

No. Once there is no more growth possible, #NetEase will turn the monetization up to eleven. Premium Battlepass, $20 Skins, Paywalled Heroes, you name it.

Hopefully they come with a better alternative than predatory microtransactions. Look at #Warframe for example.

I have my theories why #MarvelRivals had a very successful launch:

1. The IP is the most recognized in the world.
2. Better than Overwatch 2 (which was a disappointment)
3. Art style is great.
4. It's free.
5. Crossplay.

Not only they're banking a huge influx of users from the start, but also from every platform available. Much different like #Concord.
