Ordered today 10 metres of milk white linen at the cost of one readymade chemise. Let's see, if I'll have enough energy to turn them in the late 19th century underwear I so desperately want. Feel free to suggest me simple patterns of period chemises, drawers and combinations if you fancy so.

I ordered a new linen longshirt. Made from historical pattern from the place my grandma lives. As I received the shirt, I discovered that to adapt the patern to modern production speeds all the little reinforcement patches at the end of the slits are gone. But it's a beautiful shirt and nice linen, and I want to wear it for years. So what did I do? – found a linen scrap and sew the reinforcements. I really don't want to tear the front slit accidentally down or smth. #HistorBounding #HandSewing

Finished my early Edvardian inspired undershirt. Had to shorten the sholder straps after taking the picture, and I am a bit cross about that one inside-out seam... but this is a very good use for a halfsheet I didn't need anyway. Due to the restrictions of the fabric, it is very short for a historical underwear, but for a #HistorBounding purposes it is going to be perfect, as it is easier to combine short shirt with contemporary winter leggings.

Sudden influx of bridged bsky users and all the talk about Bluesky made me reflect on how I feel about leaving most social networks and using just Mastodon and a bit of Instagram. My conclusions are:
- I'm too old for having too much content thrown at me.
- I really hate algorithmic feeds, I desperately need control on whom I'm seeing and why.
- I havn't found as much #HistorBounding and #HistoricalCostuming content in #fediverse as I would like.
- Instagram is usable only because of mods.
