My 8th grader, who we are #homeschooling, just got her standardized test results back. She’s scoring grade equivalent of 11th or above on everything, and did notably better than on last year’s test.

So a sigh of relief there, but it’s also a little scary as commentary on the public education system, because we, uh, haven’t been doing the *best* job homeschooling her, and she isn’t the best student in everything either. I KNOW this kid’s math. How is she better than the average 11th grader?!
