I found a new cherry tomato plant outside of the fenced-in garden area…I hope the homeowners like cherry tomatoes because now they have five of them growing!
Another excellent neighborhood walk! Got 2 books from #LittleFreeLibrary and dropped one off; saw a rabbit, grey squirrel and a big poodle dog, plus several new-to-me plants and a tree with very interesting berries. Was so overcast out that several houses still had their automatic porch lights on!
I don't have many supplies though-- literally can't even find any twine to tie up some plants that outgrew their original strings-- so the owners will just have to deal with things properly once they get back in a few weeks.
Cat managed to get the bathroom door open when I was in there (on the toilet!!) and refused to leave until I picked her up and placed her outside
WHY is every cat so insistent on being in the bathroom when I am in there trying to do my business lmao
Meanwhile one of the cats got high on catnip and started wailing until I left the computer and sat on the couch where she could reach me
Just watched a groundhog push its way through the garden fence and steal a tomato. Hats off to you, friend! (I did go out and shoo him away tho)
Currently turning three days of cherry tomato and five regular tomatoes into pasta sauce. I can’t find any mason jars here (why??) so it’ll go into a big glass bowl. Pasta dinner tonight!

Back in the day, people used to house sit (water plants, collect mail, care for cats, etc) for folks while they were away from home and get a place to stay at the same time.
