I've started to realize that November is my introspective, indoor gardening month. Everything that got neglected over the summer gets a new lease on life right before December.
My energy is usually pretty low with the seasonal changes, but it's something I can putter well at. So far, with my partner's help because it's becoming a behemoth, our Norfolk pine got a much needed repot and looked better almost overnight. This was tactical because the cat likes to launch himself at it as soon as we decorate it with lights for solstice and it was always a little top heavy. Now it's very weighted down which means we hopefully won't spend December vacuuming and sweeping up potting soil and bark mulch every two days.
Catgrass has been reseeded into Gus's preferred receptacles. Soon to be lush heads of green hair for his styling desires.
One bag of potting soil should cover all the plants in the house that need a refresh. Still a few to go.
Outdoors, I'm still managing to scoop a few leaves up every day to add to our new beds and even without soil it's nice to see their shapes slowly taking form.
