#ukpol #housing Sod the #royalfamily Punitive sanctions on all landlords holding back all empty homes. I don't give a stuff whether that's #localgovernment, #housingassociations or #venturecapitalists. The only thing that works are small local #housing #cooperatives. That's both my experience and an opinion.

The #housingcrisis has many elements but one of note is the shift in attitudes & practices at #HousingAssociations.
There was a time when HAs where seems as a viable alternative to #socialhoiusing & adopted relatively accommodating attitudes to their tenants.
Now, the reports of dire conditions of their #housing stock & the brutality of their actions towards tenants, show what the move to a 'business' stance has wrought; they now often seem little better than exploitative private #landlords
Tai Calon are scum landlords, and the world scum is interchangeable with slum. Addressing rat infestations does'nt get a look-in, versus their beloved corporate entertainment. #SocialHousing #HousingAssociations #Landlords
