Die Internationale Energieagentur (#IEA) hat im #WorldEnergyOutlook 2025 nach fünfjähriger Pause das Current Policies Scenario (#CPS) wieder aufgenommen – und zieht damit in Betracht, dass ein schneller Rückgang des Verbrauchs von #Kohle, #Öl und #Gas nicht unbedingt zu erwarten ist. Damit zeichnet die IEA ein deutlich anderes Bild vom künftigen #Energiemarkt als bislang.
In diesem Szenario steigt die weltweite Ölnachfrage bis 2050 um 13 Prozent von derzeit rund 100 Millionen auf 113 Millionen Barrel pro Tag. In früheren Prognosen ging man bei der IEA davon aus, dass die Ölnachfrage stagnieren oder zurückgehen würde, heißt es bei Bloomberg.
