You have to love a dish called Supreme Dal! it is from #CookAndSeePart4 from the #MeenakshiAmmal set of 4 volumes. Quite a simple recipe really, pared back to let the individual flavours shine. Triply easy as it uses pre-cooked dal which I had in the freezer. Just add spices, onions, ginger, chillies, tomatoes and heat. Tadka with curry leaves.
Today's choices of pickles and ferments were to be pickled nasturtium leaves and fermented chilli sauce/paste. But in truth, as well of these, I have used a whole lot of different bibs and bobs from that shelf in the the fridge. Including the Indian Makrut Lime pickle with the dal-rice. An absolute favourite of mine.
There is so much soup for tonight, the chickpea and cannelini bean one that I made 2 days ago. I can't wait. The fava bean one from yesterday is in the freezer. #SoupLove
