Summer Blues - the flowering theme inside the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum courtyard. #courtyards #flowers #BlueFlowers #BloomScrolling #ISGM

A two part collage showing the courtyard of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. This Venetian courtyard is heavily planted with many flowering plants with blue flowers. The center of the courtyard has a tile mosaic patio. There are stairs on the far left leading up to the second level, and in the third floor window on the left, we see more dramatic blue flower displays.

Ever changing, always beautiful. #ISGM #courtyard #Boston

A view from a balcony window looking down and across a courtyard. There is a tiled area in the center, surrounded by green ground cover and pea pebble pathways. Palms are in the distant corner, and there are colorful disays of flowers throughout.

And, whilst you are at The Gardner Museum, add this view of copulating rabbits to your scavenger hunt. Discovered by Cynthia one day many years ago, and to date no guard nor guide has known about these. #ISGM #Spring #Rabbits #Tapestry

A portion on old tapestry. Just above the bottom border are copulating rabbits.

This Friday's art appreciation moment is The Retrospective 2015 - 2022 by Raqib Shaw, currently on view at The Gardner Museum. #art #artist #EnamelArt #RaqibShaw #ISGM #FridayArtApprrciation

A painting of an enormous room filled with many other paintings, some hung on the walls but many stacked on the floor. These all illustrate the works of Raqib Shaw, so we see paintings of his familiar to us inside this painting.

Photo of a lush landscape painting of acrylic liner and enamel on aluminum. We see a gardener under a tree on the right side of the painting, with fantastical plants and animals in the foreground all the way to the river Thames with the London skyline in the background. Lots of colorful textures and minute details throughout.

There's a lot going on in The Gardner Courtyard. #ISGM #flowers #courtyards

A photo of multiple tropical plants at the edge of a courtyard that we can not see because of a large green leaf taking up the background. The colors of the flowers include pink, purple, blue, magenta, yellow, orange, white, and probably many others.

This Friday's art appreciation moment is El Jaleo by John Singer Sargent, 1882. I think that Isabella Stewart Gardner created the most impressive room just to display this painting. #art #painting #OilPainting #ISGM #JohnSingerSargent

A very large painting in a gold frame hanging inside what appears to be part of a Spanish castle. The painting is of a Spanish woman dancing in front of a group of seated musicians. From the clothing of the dancer and the musicians we know this to be a Spanish dance.

A large fabric mural hanging outside the Gardner. It’s of a woman wearing red pointed dress shoes in a butter yellow short sleeve top and pants, holds a designer hand bag, that looks like a mask, in front of her face. In bright red block print on the front of her shirt is printed
TRADITION
   IS NOT
   STATIC

Taken during a a fashion shoot in the Little Salon at the Museum.

The large installation on the façade of the Gardner is on Evans Way. It’s dedicated to commissioning and rotating new site-specific works from the Artist-in-Residence program since 2012. The fabric scrim serves as an outdoor canvas that extends the gallery space beyond the Museum's interior walls and serves as public art in the city of Boston.Excerpt from the label —
“In this image, taken during a fashion shoot in the Little Salon at the [Gardner] Museum, a mask that became a bag plays at being a mask again. The iconic Tecuán or Jaguar mask, held by the model, originates in the town of San Francisco Ozomatlán in the southwestern state of Guerrero, and the artisans Santos and Claudio Najera have used the same centuries-old, hand-painted mask-making technique to create a handbag line with Fernández.”A small city park with benches and grass, paths and mostly green trees in the sunshine.
