The wonderful and talented IT department at work has effectively blocked me from seeing my meeting calendar in a phone widget and blocked access to the internet unless you use one specific browser that they don’t tell you about, which also stops a lot of my applications and tools from working. Last week my boss said to my (in a joke), if the usage of #emacs is allowed by our #itdepartment. I told him that I do not care, because without #orgmode I have no idea what I need to do every day. So there is no alternative for me, if I want to get my job done. A couple of days later he saw me, while I was presenting something, quickly pull up a capture template for a task, write down a task, tag it and save it in like 5sec. He just said: „Think I need to learn Emacs as well.“
