I thought I could use leading zeros in decimal constants in Python3, since I recalled that it had finally killed that brain-damaged hackers' convention (of C, awk, bash, etc) that a leading zero means octal (so 077+1 = 64).

But no, leading zeros are just forbidden in Python3. Syntax error. Which is the right decision, to minimize bugs, of course.

But sigh, now pining for Python4...
