Also just like #IUU #Fishing the only thing that prevents massive fleets from emptying entire ecosystems (like what happened in #Somalia amd turned sibsitence #fishermen into #pirates) is #enforcement...
- Otherwise I'm shure trawlers from the "P.R" China would've already sucked up all the Shrimps at Germany's the North Sea Tidal Mudlands Coastline Natiomal Park over a decade ago...
Fortunately enforcement is possible:
- Literally block any of the "#AI" Companies' and their Suppliers' (#AWS, #Azure, #GCP, #CloudFlare, ...) ASNs entirely...

The Spanish government sanctioned 25 of its vessels for illegally turning off their satellite tracking devices while fishing off the coast of Argentina between 2018 and 2021. But this hasn’t stopped the vessels from fishing.
